Re: Catalitic converter scraping???
Cat converters contain Pt and Pd in varying amounts.
We digest the guts and recover the metals by solvent extraction or resins depending on quantities. If you want some more information regarding metals reclamation look at my website. www.rockyledgeminingsupply.com This is not meant as an attempt at advertising, Rather just to answer a question or two. If it is out of bounds mods, please modify or delete it. If anyone has any questions whatsoever regarding PMs recovery or purifying that I can answer, please throw them out. Ore, compuiers, cats, jewelry. Best regards to all inthis online community. |
Re: Catalitic converter scraping???
Yeah, they have a certain amount of Platnium, sometimes Pallidium(Ford switched to Pallidium for a short time, not sure about the rest of them), on the "bb's" that are inside. They are plated. A new one now-a-days will run you $250 TO $500 depending on the size and many cars have two, a few of them have four. It would be worth the trouble if you were sitting on a junk yard....
